"The Five Love Languages of Children"
by Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell

"By speaking your child's own love language, you can fill his 'emotional tank' with love. When your child feels loved, he is much easier to discipline and train than when his 'emotional tank' is running near empty."

"Kids desperately need to know how much you love them. But if you don't know their special love languages, you might as well be speaking gibberish. Every child expresses and receives love best through one of five communication styles. If your love language is different from your children's, you'd better learn to translate - fast. Discover how to express unconditional feelings of respect, affection and commitment that will resonate in their souls - and inspire them for the rest of their lives."

Come join us for a a book discussion on the Five Languages of Love of Children. If you have time to read the book, come tell us what you have learned. If you don't have time to read it, come anyway! We will have a fun discussion about how we show love to our children and how they receive it. We will also be handing out the worksheets to figure out what love language you and your spouse are. We should have a fun night!

Recap on January's AM Meeting

Thanks to everyone that came to our January kick-off meeting. We had a fabulous turn out. Thanks to Lori Featherstone of the Young Women's General Board, who did such a great job teaching us. She shared wonderful insights on how to be better and happier parents, and how to create united families. She even shared stories of the funny and hard times from her own life that made us think and made us laugh.

Dear darling Moms,
It was such a treat to be with you tonight. I want you all to know we have lots of bumps and hick-up in our home. We are far from perfect, but I pray that you understood that we are just trying our best as you are to follow the counsel give to us by our prophets in hope to raise righteous children and all return to our Heavenly Father some day. It was privileged to be in your presence tonight. You are amazing women doing the greatest work on the earth. Thank you for all you are doing.
Love
Lori Featherstone

Here are the quotes I read tonight and then the other ones I referred too.
Temple quote by Elder Featherstone “I promise you all who faithfully attend to temple work will be blessed beyond measure. Your families will draw closer to the Lord, unseen angels will watch over your loved ones when satanic forces will tempt them. The veil will e thin and great spiritual experiences will distill upon this people.

Scripture quote Pres. Romney
I feel certain that in our homes if parents will read from the B of Mormon
Prayerfully and regularly both by themselves and with their children, the spirit of that great book will come to permeate our homes and all who dwell there in. The spirit of Reverence will increase mutual respect and consideration for each other will grow. The spirit of contention will depart. Parents will counsel their children in greater love and wisdom. Children will be more responsive and submissive to their counsel. Rightness will increase faith hope charity-pure love of Christ will abound in our home and lives bringing in the peace joy and happiness.
FHE Promise Joseph F. Smith
Faithfull holding FHE
“Love at home and obedience to parents will increase. Faith will be developed in the hearts of the youth of Isreal, and they will gain power to combat the evil influences and temptations which beset them.”

"Love is in the Air" Feburary Fun Kids Idea

Cut out paper hearts and have you kids decorate them. Go suprise somone else(a great-grandparent , friend, or elderly person) and give them a "heart attack" on their front door.
Have your kids cut our paper hearts. Everytime they do something nice for someone else let them write it on a heart and put it on the door. By the end of Feburary they should have the door full of kind "act of love" they performed
